Every other Thursday, volunteers from the Humane Society visit with residents of the Memory Care Unit at Rittenhouse Senior Center in Michigan City. These volunteers bring along some of our Shelter animals, to the delight of both the Rittenhouse residents and the animals. It is wonderful to see the instant bond between residents and animals, and it is a great way to help the Shelter reach out to the community.
